The MPL provides education on the following courses:

POSTGRADUATE LEVEL

The MPL participates in the following postgraduate/MSc programs:

  • Medical Physics-Radiation Physics (in collaboration with the Biology Dept., University of Athens; Medical School, University of Ioannina; Medical School, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Medical School, Democritus University of Thrace; Medical School, University of Crete; Greek Atomic Energy Commission; National Centre for Scientific Research ‘Demokritos’). The MPL was one of the founding laboratories of the postgraduate program, leading its administration for many years. The administration of the program is currently lead by the Medical School of the University of Athens. More info: http://medphys.med.uoa.gr.
  • Clinical Medicine, Laboratory Medicine, Preventive and Social Medicine, Medical School, University of Athens.
  • Intensive Care Units-Cardiac Nursing, 1st Cardiology Clinic, Medical School, University of Athens.
  • Minimally Invasive Surgery, Robotic Surgery and Remote surgery, Medical School, University of Athens.

MEDICAL SIMULATION

Via its Simulation Center, the MPL provides medical simulation courses for training on various medical techniques such as: IV cannulation, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy and minimally invasive surgery.

MPL-Simulation Center (MPLSC) is equipped with a number of medical simulators such as Virtual Reality (VR) simulators (for basic and advanced training in laparoscopic surgery, bronhcooscopy and colonoscopy), Augmented Reality (AR) simulators for basic skills surgical training, laparoscopic box-trainers, laparoscopic towers, and various simulation models for training in minimally invasive surgery. The MPL is accredited by the American College of Surgeons since 2009 as Level I education institute. More info: http://mplsc.med.uoa.gr.
